Garbage Turned Fashion Dresses

“Global Warming”.. This is the biggest problem we are about to face. As the millennium age starts to suffer, we should also start finding ways how to reduce or eliminate uncertain waste. We got to think about all the awesome ways how to re-purpose that would normally be discarded. Other than Garbage segregation, another  “super awesome” way to do it is thru fashion. Think about those plastic bags, candy wrappers, disposable plates, spoon and fork, and those broken CD’s tapes which can be used for fashion.
Here are samples of the awesome masterpiece:

Won the Best in Costume awards in both male and female category. These award winning recyclable fashion dresses are just made from plastic bags, disposable spoons and fork, and disposable plates.

Another one is made from colorful plastics. Gathered different kinds of plastic wrappers they were able to make a very colorful pretty dress.

While this "Barong Tagalog" was made from "Abaca", beads and patches - "Abaca" which grown as a commercial crop in the Philippines, or also known as Manila hemp, has great economic importance, being harvested for its fiber, extracted from the leaf-stems. Associated with beads and patches result into an amazing dress like this.

Made from collective beads, feathers and patches results to a stunning recyclable costume.

And last but not the least.. this pair of dresses made from damaged CD tapes. Made from Gathered broken and damaged Cd tapes designed for male and female fashion dresses worn for a recyclable fashion show event.

Such awesome dresses were made by the hands of a very creative friend named SASI MONTECARLO. A young aspiring designer From the Philippines, who is really one of the best fashion designer to be and a very good talent mentor of her models.
